A secret Victorian Garden
Hey everyone, I'm after fabric suggestions for the above Chatelaine 
Its my birthday and with what I have been saving, and the birthday money I got... and the awesome gift certificate I got from Lori and Cerys I have just about
enough money for the kit yay! 
can you tell I'm excited?! I
bought the pattern off Martina last night and am just waiting for it to eventually arrive in my inbox
Anyway! Do you think I should go with the plain antique white that is available in the kit or should I see what Lori can come up with (the only problem with
that is I will have to wait longer til I start.... BUT baby is due tomorrow so I probably won't have much time for a wee while anyway lol)
I have searched webshots and found a couple of ideas on colours.... let me know what you think......

I saw someone who did it on a buttercream colour and it looked really good on that. I guess it would be a pale yellow.

I like the top one as well!
I'm going to start her Misty Morning Vineyard when my fabby arrives. Doing that on antique white using the DMC conversion since i've not stitched her before. But I may go all out for the faerie one when it comes out in September. I've got some money set aside for that one. Jess |

I've been puzzling over fabric for this one since the mystery finished! I have the chart already. So I'll be watching this thread too.
Andie, make sure you go to the archived section of the Chatelaine BB and look through all of those. |

I'm currently doing this design on Smoky Haze and I love the way it looks. Unfortunately, none of my pictures are really capturing the true color of the
fabric. It always comes out brownish and the color definitely has a strong green tinge to it.
That top fabric is pretty, but I think the colors may clash with the oranges of the houses. Someone using that color in the second picture (or something very similar) inspired me to pick a more neutral shade. : ) Missie If you don't believe in dragons It is curiously true That the dragons you disparage Choose to not believe in you

Thanks very much for your input everyone. I think I might be leaning towards a neutral shade instead of a hand dyed.... thats gotta be a first! lol
