I get started as usual and am trying to keep DH out of my hair. (That man has a knack for wanting to come hug me right when I'm in the middle of
something. I guess I shouldn't complain because today he's my hero!) I got my first batch of fabrics scoured and on to dye and then I threw a load of
clothes into the washer. Since the kids go back to school tomorrow, I suppose they should have something clean to wear. Anyway, I was in my office cutting up
more fabrics, serging, etcetera and I hear the washer make an odd sound and then lots of clicking. So my timer went off and I went down there and realize the
washer is emitting this lovely rubber smell and isn't doing what it is supposed to be doing!
Yikes! I hollered at DH and he came in and said, "Wellp, it's been over 12 years, I think it's busted!" NOT IN THE MIDDLE OF MY DYE SESSION!!! So we dropped everything and ran out to buy a new washer. So basically I've blown the last 2 hours freaking out over the washer and getting the kids dressed and heading out to buy a new washer. I really wanted one of those frontloader ones, but they require that HE (high energy) soap with very little suds and the guy couldn't answer how my sythrapol would do in there. Better to be safe than sorry, so we went with another toploader. It's nice though and bigger than our last one.

I love it when I get a new appliance its very carefully taken care of for a month or two LOL
